Riot?

I live in California, before the server move I had 40-50 ping, right now I'm having lag spikes because of my ISP but my normal ping now is 60-70. Perfectly reasonable, I'm happy with it and don't know why people are complaining about having under 100 ping. People in Alaska and Hawaii are complaining because they're actually having bad ping. What concerns me is that riot is just ignoring everyone. I've seen people suggest 2 servers, why is this not a good idea? people are talking about the game now being unplayable now and riot remains silent. If a riot employee sees this, why is 2 servers not an option? do you have any plans to help those actually having bad ping?

Splitting the NA playerbase in half would also halve the number of people in queue at any time, making all queues take roughly twice as long. The level of skill of players within a game would also vary much more drastically, since again the pool to draw ten players from is half as large. There's also the cost of establishing and maintaining an additional server base, which is a considerable deterrent. This move was partially motivated by Chicago's greater connectivity and presumably lower operating costs, and splitting the servers could not be subsidized in the same way. I don't know how Riot plans to address the issues of poor connectivity in Alaska or Hawaii, but this is why the playerbase hasn't been split.

Good luck with that, it took them 5 %%%%ing years to help out East Coast, maybe Alaska and Hawaii might have to wait 5 more years.
