Demoted

Every time I lose 1 game at 0 LP I get demoted and I don't think that, that should be happening. I am in Gold IV and lose 1 game and get demoted to Gold V, then I play a couple games and get promoted back to Gold IV but if I lose the very next game it just demotes me right back down. I am not sure that it is supposed to happen like this but it is really getting annoying I have gone back and forth between Gold IV and Gold V like 6 or 7 times already. Anyone else having this issue, or is it supposed to work like that?
