I have a suggestion. Can Riot Games not demote its players when there is an AFK in the current ranked match? I think it is unreasonable to demote players when there are AFK players on the side that lost.
If you're ever in a clear cut loss, then what's stopping you from bullying another player into leaving so that the rest of the team doesn't take the hit (Or merely leaving yourself)? You have to be very careful when it comes to compensation for things that an automated system can't accurately assess, such as when an AFK is legitimate or when it's the result of someone doing it to force the compensation.
