Riot really HATES supports, huh?

Thank you Riot!! This new patch really screwed up my entire game. I main support champs. You pretty much took away all my mana sustain in the early game (which affects to me and my mana hungry adc's) as well as my wards etc. Not only did you screw up my entire build, you also made items more expensive and made masteries worse for supports. Yes, you DID make pink wards cheaper. Thank you for that. Now I can ward all I want in the early game with PINK wards.. Limited to one, two in inventory and as we all know, it is visible to the enemy team which leads sometimes having no vision at all in the early game, since naturally enemy team kills the ward if they find it and trinket does not last very long... In bot lane there are not many places where to put wards during laning. And what is the deal with sightstone? Yes, building options are a good thing, but was it necessary to nerf the most popular item among supports?? 3 refills? As if I would not struggle with vision enough already.. That 4th ward was important if you wanted to change one ward to another location WITHOUT going through pool first. Kinda screws up the idea of fast gank in mid and dropping ward to bush as we go.. First you made everyone believe that it is important to ward and then you took away/nerf vision-items! And I still have no idea why mana potions and clarity had to be removed. They are great help to me and my adc's in the early game, so you could have left at least one of them in the game instead of taking everything away.

I have never struggled in the game as I did earlier today. First time ever I seriously thought that league is not fun anymore. You made it too hard to play. I hate adjusting to this many new things at one time. Old dog does not learn new tricks, you know, and you changed EVERYTHING I am familiar with in one update. :/ :/

I know the feeling. I am having hard time adjusting to this. My old build worked for me like a charm. I was good at keeping my adc's alive. Today it has been a failure after another after another after another........ I do understand that game needs to change to keep the interest of the players, but they changed too much at one time. Not all changes are bad, but they really destroyed my early game good.

And it is not affecting to my gameplay, but to my adc as well. Especially if I get to support adc who is very mana hungry and pushes the lane a lot, even though I can not ward as I used to do before. :(

You havent looked into the utility tree have you? Its love for supports. Sightstone merge with gold item is epic. And oh get this they even buffed gold income dramatically on top of global gold increase. Guess since i never had a "perfect build in this perfect order" I'm not affected as much.

Stop, read each mastery carefully, read each item change carefully (some really support sexy ones now) and forget that complaint on vision as its also really really good now. (Pink wards are 75g while you get more a shit ton more gold. Pinks set up AND protect from ganks.

Everyone calls me crazy because as a support main, I hate these changes.

Previously, I bought two wards and a gold item because that was how I liked to play. Now I feel forced to buy sightstone as soon as I'm able, just so I'm not screwed on vision. Let's face it, my adcs have never helped me ward consistently. I shouldn't have to ask EVERY SINGLE GAME for help keeping river warded. Just give me sight wards back and I'll take care of it myself. I'm not in the LCS where the entire team takes care of warding equally. Stop expecting the low elos to do this.

I find myself doing this quite often, and not switching to sweeper til very late in the mid-game.

Finally, I also don't like buying pink wards. They're USELESS unless you're capable of defending them or place them somewhere they won't be destroyed in five seconds (aka, somewhere they won't see much enemy activity anyway...)

I will say that I don't feel as mana-starved this season as I did in previous seasons, and the new support masteries are making my game more enjoyable (specifically Nami and Sona) But you have to realize that everyone plays differently, and I can understand how these changes aren't enjoyable to some people.

How is it good thing, that I need to waste 75g over and over for pink ward just cause i can not upgrade trinket anymore? some people used to do that in game too, after they hit level 9, but now people hardly ever do that, not even when I tell them we need more vision. Vision was nerfed so hard, that I feel like I would be blinded mapwise half of the game.

I hate Riot... they nerfed the vision game and that's not me being biased that is a fact. Like why else would you get rid of green wards? (Probably because some LCS crap they wanna tackle and ruin the game for everyone else) I mean being a support main is HARD! Especially when people on your team go into UNWARDED AREAS AND GET 4v1d and then FLAME THE SUPPORT for not warding that particular area. (Even though you have all 5 possible wards down already.) I mean before the change I could tell them "Hey, um don't go into unwarded areas alone... and um BUY YOUR OWN WARDS." But now they can't even buy a green ward if they wanted to. Not only that but they got rid of the best lvl 9 trinket upgrades ever! So now other then the support no one else really has a good option for warding unless they buy their own sightstone. (And we all know that aint happening.) So Riot plz bring back either the good lvl9 trinket upgrades or bring back green wards because otherwise no one is going to want to play support anymore. (Even the support mains.) P.S. If you think that the "2 Trinket Charge so why are you complaining?" Let me remind you that its the DUMB 60 Second Trinket! (Even though I will admit it still is 60 seconds of vision seriously I don't think that's an excuse for what Riot had done." Thank you for hearing my 2 cents.

I agree. Manawise these changes have been good. HOWEVER warding still sucks. Even in this new patch riot is nerfing one warding option, but not returning green wards. I usually bought item 2049 last season. Then after i get all my other items i have upgraded it to item 2045

This season I am forced to upgrade item 2049 ASAP to some other item cause of the nerf on it. I need those extra wards! Now I usually get item 3363 when I hit level 9 just so I can spread them through the map to see enemy movement. They are easily killed, but still they have no limit. On this new patch (naturally) also those wards are nerfed..

Because we might have ZERO vision on the river, pushing a lane is difficult. We might be forced to stay under turret hoping our jungler/middle player ganks. So I usually get item 2302 now, becuse it gives gold more than item 2301 item 2301 usually means that I should be poking enemy all the time to get lots of gold. I would need to do this with my own risk however since (again) we might have no vision on the river..

Like I have said before: Riot really has NO love for supports.

And as someone said earlier, now warding is more on supports' shoulders. MAYBE jg wards sometimes, middle laner might drop a ward in a bush near her, but usually warding is up to supports now.

As someone who also plays a lot of support, there is now considerable worth in disengage supports and playing passively in the early game imo. Yes, you might not have vision, but if you play safe and don't over extend until you get vision, if a jungler appears and you are playing disengage, you can just disengage them, and flee to tower. Yes, it's a little unfortunate, but it's perfectly fine to just play safer instead of being as aggressive.

I KNOW RIGHT I tried to play Anivia support which was my main and did HORRID and season 6 messed her up bad. Only thing I like is blue trinket and thats it.
