30s-1min lag spikes

Anyone else getting these? Didn't have any problems earlier, but just had a completely unplayable ranked game. I didn't see the enemy champion until I was already dead for most of my deaths. I'm already bad; I don't need anything else to help keep me in silver =(

Try the site logsoflag.com. You can upload your latest network logs and find out what's actually going on.

I'm dropping 71.6 packets per minute - more than one per second - and am seeing the same things you are. It's pathetic, and it's been going on for a while.

Just happened to me as well, Game was unplayable the entire time even though I've played 3 other games today and was just fine.

I'm just replying so that some riot employee sees this post. (packet loss problems for the past couple weeks or so)

yeah i have been experiencing this as well, along with my friends. Hopefully it's fixed soon.

Well, at least I'm not alone... I guess. I'm afraid to queue up again. Even if I'm not lagging in a custom, it might happen ten minutes later. =/

youre not alone lol, it lasted pretty much my whole game

Lagging like a beast, as did 3 of my teammates last ARAM.

Nothing like throwing your E as Lux and having it take a Zilean years to actually show on your screen, no less go off.

I'm getting the same issue here as well. Started up a ranked game and everything was okay at first, but as the game went on it quickly got to the point of unplayable as it lagged so badly that people were teleporting around. There wasn't anything I could do to fix it and ended getting flamed at the post-game screen :(

I myself am in Utah and have usually 65-80 ping, since last update I have had around 145-165 ping pretty much doubled. I have lost quite a few games due to lag where I have walked all the way across ARAM map from my side to theirs and died before I could do anything to change my course of direction. I understand the east side has a lot more ping and really wonder why we do not have an east server and west server. certainly their are enough players in the U.S. to allow this to be done. If people could please help get this to our riot personnel and maybe something can be done for us loyal players who, even though we suffer from lag spikes and disconnections, still come back to League of Legends.

Exactly the same problem last night.

I play from South Korea on the NA servers, so lag is a regular problem to me. I've had tons of experience playing in 150-300 ping games so I definitely know what I'm up against.

I took a couple months off after the season ended, and when I came back there had been quite a few patches. I jumped in an ARAM for fun and my ping was 228(average for my place).

But this was NOT my normal play situation. It felt like I was playing through molasses. Tons of game freezes. Game wouldn't respond to hotkeys I pressed so I constantly wasn't throwing out skills. I would get 2 second hiccups on occasion when action was thick.

This is NOT a lag problem for me. The game was eerily smooth. It felt like a performance issue, but nothing has changed on my machine other than the new patch. I think people mentioning packet loss must be correct, and since I'm from a foreign ISP, this has got to be a server issue. Glad to see it's not just me and hopefully it's fixed soon!

I have also been having some insane ping lately, and I don't think it's my internet because my Skype calls that I've been in were perfectly stable. I completely understand your struggle. ;-;

Just played a game and it happened. I couldn't move for several seconds multiple times.

Apparently for some people changing your DNS to Google's public DNS has helped.

All day I've been experiencing this with my ping going from 400-1500. Couldn't have more than a minute with my regular playable ping and I'm sick of this. Things have been terrible since 4.21 and Riot needs to fix/address this or I'll have to find a new game.

steelblacksky1/12/2015, 2:04:51 AM1 votes

my last botmatch was another grand example of todays new instanciation of this http://logsoflag.com/#ReZrOiM4oRg 84-86 normal ping spiking to 900-1800 with peppered packetloss. wish i knew what the heck was going on today as opposed to even yesterday.

this is east coast, NC via comcast.

Blah Blah Some stereotypical denial eg did you check for anyone stealing your internet or are you downloading a porn movie because riot's servers are perfect There I gave one no one deny this topic

SorasMemories1/12/2015, 2:38:47 AM1 votes

I started having stupid lag spikes about five patches ago. When I post about it on the forums, my posts get deleted by Riot staff members, no matter where I post it.

Yeah i have amazing internet and good computer and these lag spikes just showed up a month ago D:

While not every person would have this available for them I found that running a direct Ethernet connection from my modem to my computer to solve all of my packet loss and lag issues in game.

Charming1/12/2015, 11:19:47 AM1 votes

I have an Ethernet cable and it doesn't help anything lol. Last week and the week before me, along with plenty other players were experiencing the packet loss lag. Then suddenly a few days ago everything was fine until yesterday, when it was worse than ever..
