RE: "Be nice to Riot. Post well thought out discussions instead of being rude"

I don't care how angry you are at Riot for whatever changes they have made.

Raging, angry, negative behavior is toxic and it spreads to other people. Nobody working for Riot has a reason to respond to hate threads. When you say "Fuck you guys. You're terrible at what you do". It causes people to actually believe that riot doesn't care about the game they put so much time and effort into, when that is absolutely preposterous. Fuck yeah they didn't do well this patch, I'm sure the boards and Reddit have told them well enough for the past day, but the constant nagging, raging posts does more to hurt the community than it does to help the game. And honestly, most of it is just blowing smoke.

Also, does making angry demanding posts make people feel powerful or something? ("Riot, I DEMAND an explanation for. . ." "Zed and Kalista sure are cancerous, amirite?" "Riot must hate their playerbase because-" Etc.) Really? Will this somehow make the balance team work FASTER than they are? "Oop. These guys on the boards are yelling at us that we need to do a better job. I sure didn't think of that. We should do that."

Riot is not an "it". Riot is a company FILLED with people who have varying opinions and beliefs for how the game should go. I think there should be more community involvement, and Riot should be more vocal about the changes they make, and what their plans are, as well as their shortcomings/failed intents. But don't refer to Riot as an "it". It's a logical fallacy that leads to false justifications and even more unnecessary hate. If you IN PERSON met the balance team, I highly doubt you would have the same rar rar ragey behavior, because they are actual people with a passion for the game.

It isn't a healthy mindset to be in, and I really think we need to take a calmer approach to how we view the game.

Riot does not reply to everything. Being noticeable is the only way to get a response. If you are a person who wants a response from Riot about X issue you care about, how do you become noticeable? There are 3 ways.

The first way is to simply go along with the circlejerk. If you write a long post with reasonably good English or post a funny image about buffing the jungle, it will get noticed, because the circlejerk wants it noticed. What if your complaint isn't a circlejerk complaint, though?

When your complaint isn't something as widely supported as "Nerf Lee Sin", you have 2 remaining options. You can write a long, well-put, and experienced post on the matter; this post should probably also include research and references, especially to previous posts made in the past.

Most people, like me, that go on these forums simply aren't capable of creating the quality necessary in their posts to achieve noticeability, so they need to take the third choice. They need to take the third choice, which is to be as rude and loud over as extended a period of time as possible.

People often like to combine the first choice with the third choice, but it's not actually necessary. I've found you can get a response even if the majority disagrees with you.

And this post really did not need this many words. I just felt like making it long.

..... that thread is still there, so why not just post this in there?
