Leaverbuster broken??

about a week ago i was in a ranked match and had someone leave the game at Level 2. This is the day after riot implemented their "new and improved 'Leaverbuster system'." I figured it just wouldn't count or I'd lose like 5 LP which I'm fine with, I get out of the match and lost 25 LP for our adc afking at Level 2 ending the game with 11 CS. It makes it very hard to climb when you get punished for other people rage quitting. Hopefully we can fix this soon as well as a response from someone involved with riot to explain if i am mistaken.

Like 85% of the higher elo I've seen on these boards. Not all of them tho. Some of them are cool chez.

I agree. It's repulsive. I mean, 4v5's are winnable, but so rarely that you shouldn't lose so much LP. I think people who disconnected from ranked games should drop to 0 LP in whatever division they're in. If they already have 0 LP in a division they should drop down one. If they're in promos, lose promos and drop to 0 LP. No exceptions.

No, this is intended. Leaverbuster isn't meant to give "compensation" for leavers. It's only purpose is to punish those who show a pattern of leaving/dc'ing from multiple games.

The only way to get a "loss prevented" is for Riot to push the "magic button," and they only do that when there is a huge server side problem.
