Yeah I don't like that mess. People reporting for not getting their favorite spots is retarded AND toxic.
Just getting reported won't get you banned. You have to actually do something ban worthy on a consistent basis to get banned. So, unless you are trolling, raging, or just in general being a dick to people (no, taking a role because of pick order is not being a dick) you shouldn't get banned.
Guess what? A duo both reporting the same person DOES count as a single report. Wanna know why? The system the handles reports doesn't look at the total number of reports, but rather the number of reported games.
For example, 1 report in a single game = 1 reported game. 2 reports in a single game = 1 reported game. 9 reports in a single game = 1 reported game. Riot does this specifically so that pre-made teams can't just go around troll reporting other players.
Ok, I can see that it wasn't your pick that got you banned, it was your attitude about it.
They already account for multiple reports be looking number of games in which there were reports, not how many report were filed in a game. Second, as long as you aren't retaliating or being a jerk about 'stealing' a role, those reports will be judged as false reports.
False reporters get very little reporting weight, as in, if these guys are reporting people left and right, their reports are worthless.
Being reported twice in a single game is worthless, the system thinks more about # of reported games than # of reporting players.
If you got suspended it's more about toxicity than it is about some duos reporting you.
If its just two people reporting you for taking a role they wanted, its not going to do anything. I'd love to see them try and explain that though.
I've never had a low elo duo thats pre diamond/pre 2.2k mmr win a game for me. Not once.
Been playing since beta. I'm unlucky with duo's when I'm climbing back up to my 2.3kmmr.

Okay, getting reported is unreasonable, but if they call duo bot with "whoever" just let them have it. They're likely going to have good communication and should be able to work together. Just do the nice thing and pick another role.

if you do plan to take somebody's role, at LEAST have the courtesy to say you are doing so as soon as possible. I hate when i say what roles i would like and someone who picks before me says absolutely nothing just picks right before me so i have to think of who the hell should i play now. Just let people know and maybe they'll dodge too so you won't get reported.
