Same handful of champions in every game

So I have been playing the preseason since it came out. I have quickly noticed the hot picks are: Vayne Nasus Quinn (especially jungle) Tahm Kench Soraka Dr. Mundo Illaoi Mundo stands at almost a 55% winrate, just short of Brand in overall popularity. **Nasus **is around a 10% popularity (though in gold-platinum, where I play, he is picked almost every game) and has a 55.45% win rate as of a couple of days ago. Tahm's stats are pretty average. 11% popularity, 51% win rate. His kit, however, is very strong individually, even after building full tank. And his ability to displace an enemy champion and choose where to put them down adds to his annoyance. Illaoi is a very strong champion, who doesn't need to be ahead to be a game-changer. Like Tahm, however, her win rate is lower than the rest. Hers actually comes in around slightly under 50%. She has a very strong kit, but fits weirdly into the meta. Quinn - the new Satan - has a 56.88% win rate, as of a handful of days ago. Today, it's around a 56%. Which is absurdly high. It's due to her high damage output, Graves smokescreen blind that you cannot escape, her vision abilities, and her insanely broken mobility that allows her to get from top lane to bot lane in the blink of an eye. She was a duelist, able to countergank her own lane, who now runs the entire map with ease. Carrying a game is not difficult with her. She is definitely the bane of the preseason (alongside Nasus and Vayne). Vayne's win rate is around 50.4%, which is pretty average. She is highly mechanical on a solo level. Matched up with a Nasus top and a Quinn jungle to support her, losing is basically impossible. Nasus scales indefinitely, regardless of how far behind he is, and Vayne does the same. With the meta focused around objectives, it's impossible to baby sit these two hyper carries. Add the fact that Nasus's Q scales onto towers and you've got yourself a destroyed nexus. In two shots. By Nasus. Two. Shots. Next up, we have Soraka! Everyone's favourite banana nuisance. Her win rate comes in at around 52%. This is mainly the case because her popularity increased with the item changes, and so did the desire to ban her. Her win rate and popularity dropped when she began to be a main target for the ban hammer.

In my opinion, having so many champions with such strong abilities makes banning almost useless. If you ban certain champions, you will almost certainly be overrun by others. I think what makes Vayne so strong, especially when paired with Nasus and Quinn, is there mobility (mobility creep is totally a thing again) and their high damage output. With the fact that pink wards can't be placed late game when you have 6 items, Vayne's ult is invaluable. She is basically untouchable. Every game that I have lost in these past two days has had one, two, or even all champions in the game - on the enemy team, of course. So, looking at the PBE notes, I really don't see any changes coming to any of these ludicrous champions in the near patches. All of these champions contain all-star kits that allow so much versatility and very little counterplay. Nasus withers his opponent, allowing many siphoning strikes to be unloaded upon the enemy, netting him a guaranteed kill. Not only can he wreck your team, your base, and all objectives, but he has 10/15/20% lifesteal built in to his kit via his passive. Nasus has as much lifesteal as an item that costs 3700 gold in the shop at level 16. Nasus has more lifesteal than a vampiric sceptre at level 1. Nasus has an ult that gives him a huge health boost, making his laning phase oppressive. But enough about broken, unchanged abilities. Get back out of the Rift and enjoy some good ole' League of (broken) Legends!
