Why I am quitting League of Legends for good.

So, I recently decided I would like to create a new account to sort of "start over," because I'm super OCD and hate when I say a single rude/passive aggressive thing, or die too much, etc. Well, I play through my bot matches alright, just ignoring the people around me, and then I come to my first games. Being forced to play blind pick until level five, I queue up and call ADC, choose Ashe, wait a respectful amount of time and lock in. It was then that I notice there is a Miss Fortune who immediately auto-locked. I tell her that I had previously called ADC, and she says she's going top.

I took this as a red flag, but you know, maybe she was new or something. Well, the entire team (besides me) erupts into an argument and it leads to ALL FOUR MEMBERS OF MY TEAM trolling each other, verbally harassing eachother, claiming they're going to feed, leave, etc. Well, not going to resort to dodging I decided to suffer through this game. Immediately when we pop up on the Summoner's Rift, MF goes bottom lane, and gives first blood within the minute.

I spent the entire laning phase fighting MF for farm while the entire team was screaming at each other in /all chat, claiming they were smurfs, and that they're trolling etc. while I sat there just playing the game and contemplating suicide. This is NOT just an issue that affects people at low levels, just about EVERY SINGLE GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED has had at least one troll in it, and that is ruining the beloved League of Legends for me.

I'm sorry Riot, I'm sorry community, but there has to be a point where it's just enough. I'm uninstalling League of Legends, and it's going to take a massive overhaul of how trolls are dealt with for me and the other people who have left because of this issue to come back. It's not you, Riot, but let's face it, there is a lot more you could be doing to prevent this issue, and I can't wait for the day that this massive issue is dealt with.

The ball is in your court.

I think you're suffering from a serious case of confirmation bias.

Every game has a troll in it?

You're either the unluckiest player in the entire universe or you're selectively remembering the games you've played.

That said, when you feel this way about a game and don't enjoy playing it anymore, it is definitely best to just move on.

Maybe somewhere down the line, you'll re-install and enjoy it again.

Sorry to hear about your experience...but looking around at the wonderful aspect of the community, those that make paintings, cosplay, and weapons, there's a lot to look forward to in my perspective. As Ominus said, taking a break is normal, as League is supposed to feel like a stress relieving game anyways. If you aren't getting that anymore, then, I guess, goodbye.
