A Story or so i hope.
Once upon a time there was a nice 20 something playing a fantastic game called League of Legends. He had been playing for sometime and and had gotten to the rank of Bronze 5. AKA Dust 2, Wood 3 and my favorite Sand 4. While this rank is sad and weak he was excited that he could improve. During his time in this Bronze Era he was happy and nice to all around him. After a year in the same
, he started to take the game even more serious. He started to voice his opinions on others and what they should do to improve. The competitive nature that the game had demanded of him to succeed caused him to use fowl language and same some hurtful, yet never racist, or homophobic things. Slowly he began to rise through the ranks. Eventually making it all the way to Silver 3. (yes i know, still terribad. Thank you.) By this time he had become a relentless force of competitive destruction. Wanting to never lose, for fear of being shoved back down to the pit from which he had climbed, he demanded the best from his teammates. He was CONSTANTLY let down. Game after game. Loss after loss. Summoner after summoner... they fed. They afked. They went 1-15 and blamed YOU for a loss. Where was there punishment? Where was there fear of consequence? They had none. So this summoner was handed a 2 week ban for being excessively toxic. A course of action not only encouraged, but brought on by, the competitiveness it takes to succeed. As for the people who RUIN his experience, they play on, free to continue there fight to not only keep people in the pit of filth that is Bronze, but to be just AWFUL in every way possible, with no fear of punishment or consequence. Was this summoner guilty of using ADULT words as an ADULT on a game played over the INTERNET? Absolutely. Should he be chat restricted? He would actually welcome it. Should he be banned for these actions, that are a direct result of the environment it takes to succeed in League of Legends? Apparently so.
The End.
TL:DR Started at Bronze 5. Never once reported. Now, Silver 3, banned for 2 weeks for being toxic. Coincidence? You decide!
