Shader behind chat not saving

For awhile now I have noticed that the shade behind the chat box isn't saved anymore. It is kind of bothersome for me because for the last 5 years I have played with the chat box with no shade at all. Now every game I start it has to be part of my routine to remove the shading behind the text. I hope somebody from Riot sees this and can change the shaded chat box settings to remember where it is set by the user.
