Some General Ideas to Promote Positive Behavior

As an occasional author of posts on the subject of cleaning up toxicity in the community, I have seen a large number of people asking for "actual ideas and suggestions," so here I have a short and very vague list of some concepts that I've been chasing around in my head.

  1. A new forum or forums designed for players to vent. I believe that if one of our forums, an easily accessible one (perhaps with an in-game link?), was dedicated to allowing people to get together and let out their anger over a recent match full of "feeders and trolls" or whatever else that incites rage in our summoners, perhaps people would be more inclined to go on the forum and let out their anger instead of doing it in-game.

  2. A first offense penalty for new summoners. Perhaps, if players new to the game had a short but noticeable penalty (24 hour ban?) for their first game with x number of reports, it would show that toxic behavior is unacceptable in this community and discourage it in the future for those summoners. This is something that could be implemented at all levels too, not just for beginners. At a point during the upcoming season, perhaps, there could be an announcement of a "zero-tolerance" period where with all summoners, x number of reports from one game incite a penalty such as a one day ban. This would have to have exceptions such as reports by groups of pre-mades need to be reviewed prior to punishment being implemented or reports made by someone on one's friend's list don't count, in order to prevent abuse and trolling.

That is all I have, for now, much appreciated for reading through all of that and please give feedback and discuss :)

1: I don't think a forum where toxic players gather is a good idea. If they rant on forums like those, it will probably confirm their bias and will continue to be toxic. If you create a forum where "feeders" and "trolls" are the enemies, players will never learn to accept mistakes and will always blame the team. A place that hosts rage and toxicity will only breed more of it.

Example: Player goes on forum: "WOW MY TEAM FED, I DID SO GOOD AND THEY SUCKED" Forum: "YEA, THEY DID, THEY SUCK" Player: "WHY DOES MY TEAM SUCK?!"

I can see on various forums, websites, videos, etc, that this is the mentality that majority of the players make. Unless they ask "What can I do to make myself better?" instead of, "Why is my team so bad all the time?", they will never get better (mentally and in game). Thus, the idea of that forum will only cause more people to have the wrong type of mentality.

2: How would that system work for a player that is 100% new. Let's say I'm a new player and feed (0/10/0) in the first 10 games I played. I get reported in all those games and, with your system, I get a temp ban. Now, I just got banned because I'm a bad player. That itself is not a good system. A system that automatically punishes a player because they are not good in the game does not encourage good play.
