The lore they added

Well now 85% of you are saying "But they added no lore!". Not directly, no, but by adding mechanics, they tell out a major part of Garen's lore without writing out a new chunk of text to deem "Canon"

When someone is a Villain, it resents you with a dilemma. You want that kill, you know you can get it, but your team says no, that it's too risky, and your team condemns it. What do you do? Do you blatantly ignore them to shut down that 17/2/4 Viegar that's been carrying his team the whole game? Do you listen to your team despite the fact that the rest of your team will likely kill you afterwords? You're stuck with this strict set of rules that you think are hurting you ultimately, and are unsure if you should break them because of what you think is good, or what the set of rules says.

This is nearly a direct parallel to Garen's more literal lore, in which he supposedly broke the Demacian code to hunt Katarina, even though that is beyond taboo for any good Demacian citizen.

Like the new Garen or not, this is incredible lore wise. Good work Rito
