Any Real Info on NA servers? Poodlecorp?

So we all see the whole @Poodlecorp thing going on but does anyone have info on the real problem? Poodlecorp hacks twitter and youtube accounts, surely they cant get rito servers. right?

OBNOXIOUS and PEIN is Poodlecorp. they usually target Gaming youtubers and twitter accounts. They always scope a target for a while before hitting!

It has come to my attention that League of Legends has been "DDos"d by a group known as "Poodlecorp"

They are working in affiliation with "LizardSquad" and earlier this week they allegedly also breached RedMercy's youtube and twitter, unfortunately they cause his Twitter to be suspended.

They don't need your attention, please refrain from giving the trolls food, just take this information and be calm. Riot is working on it, and things will be back to normal shortly.

Hey I am completely guessing and probably overthinking this but... It could be them, they havent gotten into the servers they are overloading them with Lizard Squad, they shut down EU Blizzard servers earlier this week...

I think it should be DDos. Because before the server was actually down and I tried to re-login for some reasons, I got stuck in the login queue with about an hour's waiting time for only 2991 people in the queue. So that means this server was somehow experiencing an unexpectedly huge amount of traffic that made the server not be able to respond to the login requests.
