League of Legends Soloq. Why you lose. Why you flame. And how to change it.(ALL ELOS)

** Scenario** So after playing many games I've come to an obvious but sometimes hidden truth about trying to climb elo bronze-plat1. Regardless of how you play you will always have that one guy who is doing something you dislike or think should be doing better. In an ideal world we are all on the same page. League of legends soloq is not an ideal world. Each person coming into the game has different expectations for what should and should not happen. Which brings me to my main topic... expectations. I'll give a few examples of what i mean. Let's say PLAYERA is going into a ranked game with 50lp and wants to win the game but would not be devastated if they lost. PLAYERA(top) tries to win but ends up going even in his lane because his carry out food arrived in the middle of the game so he lost a bit of momentum top and doesn't end in a position where he can carry for his team. PLAYERB is a highschooler who is desperately trying to climb elo. He is on tilt because he is on a losing streak and about to drop down a division. PLAYERB goes to lane with high expectations and ends up feeding and raging because of PLAYERC. PLAYERC is an adult who just got off work and wants to play league. PLAYERC enjoys relaxing and doesn't care if he wins or losses althought winning is obviously better. PLAYERC lacks the mechanics to win the lane and therefore losses. This causes PLAYERB (the rager) to rage and eventually afk. PLAYERD(mid) is a level headed player. He doesn't go on tilt easily and has the mechanics and knowledge to carry the game. He is not superhuman tho and after getting 4 kills in lane starts to fed because of the fed top and bot lanes on the enemy team. PLAYERD starts to scold the other players in a gentle satire like manner and get's called a flamer by our final player...PLAYERE. PLAYERD finally losses his temper and bets that he did the most dmg on his team by a decent margin. PLAYERE (the jungler) is a hotheaded mess who hates being blamed and takes offense to everything. PLAYERE doesn't enjoy having fun he doesn't enjoy winning. He enjoys talking the most crap to losing opponents. PLAYERE will spend all of his time flaming his allies if they are losing and likewise his opponents if he is winning. This player does not look for outside help in his gameplay and will stagnate at a certain elo for long periods of time.

Conclusion So if you've stuck with me this entire time with this really confusing format...Thank you. What i mean by all of this is league is a team game and people often come into soloq with a mentality that everyone is or should be on the same page. Expectations lead to frustration and frustration leads to flaming. Flaming leads to loss streaks and loss streaks affect others player which leads to the same process. It's really just a cycle. In order to combat this we as a community should either lose our expectations for people on our team or play ranked 5's. The reason i say "play ranked 5's" is because it's nearly impossible to get everyone on the same page. With no experience or prior knowledge of your team you will not know how the person will react which causes disagreements and flaming. Playing ranked 5's will get you what you want as long as you the player are willing to find 4 other individuals who share the same thought process.

Final thoughts and opinions: This is what really separates the common player from the challenger player. I believe that if you're looking for a standard way of thinking it should similar to LCS at mid gold to diamond elo. Normal games offer all of the same functions as ranked except without the ranking system. Normal games can be used to experimentation, learning new things, and improving core fundamentals needed to play the game efficiently. Something riot could consider is two ranking systems. A ranked soloq for "hardcore players looking to improve constantly and keep up with the latest patch notes and etc" and a ranked soloq for "those who are looking to improve at a moderate pace and don't have the time to keep up with the game" I believe we could differentiate the two by change the borders a bit. If for instance you are in the hardcore league and gold your border will have a slight modification which would ideally look better. If you are gold in the other league you should have a gold border that looks slightly worst. This would confuse the community at first but i believe it would not be a very hard thing to understand.

Please leave feedback. I'm in high school myself and would like the opinion of more educated individuals. I also would find it interesting if someone had a counter logic (no pun intended) to my argument. This post is definitely one to promote awareness and any enlightenment given would be much appreciated.
