So apparently blaming the jungler for losing lane is still a thing......

Right around the time I first hit level 30, back towards the end of season 3, I used to main Hecarim and Elise jungle. I always thought it was rather fun, having tons of roaming ability and multiple responsibilities to keep track of. It was rather open ended, because you got to choose where and when you fought. I no longer main jungle A) because the new jungle is much more difficult and I personally don't enjoy it (Not complaining, just saying i don't really enjoy the new jungle) and B) because I was tired of constantly being flamed by my fellow laners. No matter how hard I tried to logically explain to them that ganking losing lanes is risky and results in a worse outcome than not ganking at all, they would have none of it. The entire game would be "this hec so bad" or "no ganks thanks jungler", they even flamed me in all chat, to the other team.

Well, I recently played a game as Riven top where I won my lane against a Mordekaiser. We had a Skarner mid who chose Skarner because he "ran out of time" (he was third pick, could have jungled) but insisted on going mid. We also had a Veigar support who neither built support or bought wards, he basically played Veigar mid bot lane. This being said NOBODY in our game ever blamed them for anything. We did not flame the Skarner for choosing Skarner mid, we did not flame the Veigar for not buying a sightstone or farming. However, they both end up losing lane. The literal first words that this Skarner says to us in game: "This hecarim jungle has no idea what he's doing." We questioned this, to which the Veigar pipes up and says "Yeah he never ganked bot lane either so stupid"

I point out to the Skarner that it is not Hecarim's job to win the lane for him, to which he consistently replies (6 times in a row) "no ganks gg".

This right here is what makes me dislike this game at times. People can talk about the current balance state and overpowered champions, but when the player behind the champion refuses to accept logic and simply mindlessly spams the chat with his ignorance, it's infuriating. The point of this post is this: Junglers are NOT there to win your lane for you. They are NOT there to give you buffs. If you lose lane, but received no ganks, it is NOT the jungler's fault. Yes, they can be a leading cause to a lost lane, either by dying in a gank or not ganking. Yes, sometimes they don't give buffs to their fed laners. The bottom line stands however, Junglers are NOT the reason you lose lane. The first step to improving is to realize that YOU are the reason for your deaths, or lost lanes.

TL;DR Junglers are not the reason you lose lane. If you mindlessly spam "no ganks" or "this jungler sucks" after you lose lane, you have no hopes of ever becoming better. I thought we'd be past this by now, but apparently not. Junglers did not lose your lane. You did.

I still get people that say "GG Warwick didn't gank early". I've come to the conclusion that expecting your teammates to be even remotely informed on how this game works is just going to leave you disappointed.

If someone annoys you, just mute them and hope they give up after a while.

rule #2 league of legends, always blame the jungler.
