I give up

I'm really tired of playing a team game that doesn't have people that are decent. I play with trolls to people who harass others. From being racist to sexist to just mean, the people who play hate on each other and the tribunal system doesn't work no matter how much Riot wants it to. I want to quit but there are no other games to play. I started playing League to have a connection with my brothers, especially during deployment, but now no one wants to play and I don't have any friends on here anyway. It's just not as fun as it used to be a year ago. I've noticed a lot of people feel that way. I just don't know what else to play. I just need a single player game I guess...

League is competitive. We all know this. It brings out the bad in people. The reason I still find enjoyment is by fostering teamwork. I start every game with "hi all" and try to put it out there before any calls are made, to divert attention and show my self as a positive person. From there you have a bit more sway if you are polite to people. I never say "top/adc/mid" what have you, I always say "adc/bot prefered". It shows people I am willing to work with them and sets a better example for other players. I never give in to trolls in champ select. I simply try my best. It does wonders. Those few little things tend to mitigate raging. It doesn't stop it all the time, but the second you let them change your mood to anythig but happy and optimistic, you feed them and it only amplifies the issues. I always try and mediate issues in champ select, and play roles I don't like if thats the only option. Since I've been doing this my games have been 100x better and I hope it can help you regain your positive play too.

Take a look at my last forum post. I address this problem, and give what I personally think is a fantastic way to fix it. Give me some feedback and tell anyone you know who plays to send it around as well, hopefully there is some off-chance that someone important will actually take a look at it and propose it somewhere.

-Thanks
