Apologize. Apologize to all Mac users and people who lost because of a 4v5 this weekend.

First off, I just want to apologize to my teammates who I (and Riot too) condemned to defeat on Saturday when everything was going smoothly until the game launched from champ select and all I got was a black screen that didn't load anything. Both team's got into game, except me of course, and unsurprisingly my team lost. This is real shame too, because when I looked up the game, it was so bitter close that if I had just been there we would have won (it was a Ranked game).

With that out of the way, let me tell you the story of how this all went down. Got back to my dorm at around 1am Friday night from my friend's place, and decided to play a game of league before I went to bed (NEVER a good idea, I know, but w/e). played it, played really well, and ended up like 8/1/8. Why is this important? After the game I was actually more tired more than I thought I'd be, so instead of going to play another, I decided just to watch the replay of it off of replay.gg. Went on the site, posted the code into my terminal like I always do, but instead of getting the game, I just got a black screen. I figured that the thing's been buggy before, and really didn't think much of it, and just decide to go to bed. This was my mistake, because it was through no fault of replay.gg, which I would later find out the hard way.

Anyway, got up Saturday and decided to play another ranked. From my first paragraph, you can all tell how THAT turned out. I tried restarting my computer, even re-downloaded the game; twice! None of it mattered. And that's when it struck me that this was not a problem with my computer alone. I went one the report a bug page on the boards and low and behold many people where having the same problem.

Listen, I'm not angry that League 6.2 has a problem with Macs right now, causing the game to crash. These things happen, nothing you can do about it. Im hella frustrated yes, but not quite angry about that. What I'm angry about is how there was no warning or notification to tell us that this was happening. USUALLY when these things happens we get the exclamation mark on the homepage and on the client telling us something is up. The problem started 1:30am eastern time on friday night, so obviously I'm not expecting there to have been one right away, but when I decided to play that second ranked game on Saturday it was mid-day! There was no notification all weekend long, or even right now for crying out loud! Yes, this problem is STILL a thing, without a notification to players!

I'm not mad that I lost a ranked game because of this. I'm not mad that League's been unplayable for tons of Mac users for 3 full days now. I'm not even mad that it had taken them this long to fix it (even though it hasn't been yet). I'm mad that for all of this time there wasn't a single goddamn thing warning us about it.

And that's why you need to apologize Rito.
