Mentoring for Younger League Players

I recently played a ranked game that went really well so I friended one of the positive members of my team. Me and him got to talking and I found out he was 14. We started talking about school and life and it was clear he was pretty frustrated and confused with it all so I answered a lot of questions and tried to give him some perspective on how I achieved my life goals and how he could too. We ended up talking for over 30 minutes and by the end we both felt great. He felt really motivated to do well in school and I felt like I had actually helped someone.

It got me thinking that there must be thousands of players like this out there. Chances are a lot of them turn to league to vent some of their frustration and escape from their problems. And chances are some of them turn to being toxic because they don't know how to deal with their problems in life. I don't like toxic people in my games but I do like giving people advice and making them feel like they aren't alone. This is why I'm hoping to start a mentoring group for younger players to give them some life perspective and hopefully prevent toxic behavior.
