That blasted ranked algorithm

So.

I am writing this after several weeks of a rather consistent problem. By weeks I mean months. I've been in bronze (now B5) for a long time. I consistently kick the daylights out of my other team, I make plays for objectives, take towers, dragon, etc. I usually get somewhere between A+ and S+, and feel pretty solid that I do much more than my share in game for my team.

I understand that this is a team game. I understand that you don't win them all, because sometimes your team is just plain too Yorick . I get it. Every time I get a few wins, move up to B4, I'll win a few, and then suddenly get a crap ton of morons for teammates that kick me not just down to B5, but to the bottom of B5. Then I scrape and claw my way back up, only to have the whole thing happen again. All the while, I am consistently performing high above average in each game.

Yes, there are games where I don't get a great score, just like there are for everyone else. However, they are uncommon. Look up my stats if you don't believe me.

All that to say. What the hell is with this algorithm? Does it intentionally place you with people who are on tilt when you are doing well? I can set my watch to how many winsI get before I suddenly get crap team streaks. Whether that is part of the system or not. Is there any way that a person can advance if they are getting very highly ranked in their games despite the fact they have teammates that are heavier than a sumo wrestler on thanksgiving?

It just seems that those who can play better should have the opportunity to play in higher tiers, and it seems that elo really is hell with no way to break out, no matter how well you perform.

Btw, in case you are wondering, I mid/top/jg.
