Riot already posted a fairly similar thread... but just focused on what your goals or resolutions for the next season were... I'll share the same sentiment here as I posted there...
I have, for the past year or two, had a set of 3 rules that I strive to follow... it's hard, and I don't always succeed, so my goal is to do a better job adhering to them.
For those curious... these rules are:
-
My goal is to improve as a player, not to win games. This means I shouldn't get frustrated at losses and should strive to learn from my mistakes in every game. This also means that if I performed well, but still lost, I should be proud of the game and happy going forward.
-
My performance is the only performance that matters. If I make a mistake, I should apologize for it briefly and try to correct it going forward. If other people make mistakes, I either ignore the mistake entirely or try to make the other player feel better about it moving forward.
-
What comes next is what matters - the past is irrelevant. Your focus should never be on how bad something went but in stead on what your next step needs to be to move towards a win.
They can be kind of hard to follow, so sometimes I screw up - but going forward my goal is to do a better job of it.
As far as reflection... I'm really pleased with this season. I was only hoping to make it back into gold since placements had dropped me into silver, but I managed to make it to plat 2 which felt really good. My wife was actually really proud of me too, silly as it sounds.
I do think I tunneled on one role a bit hard, since my games in other roles tended to go pretty well - got my first penta as an ADC in one of my games for example. It's just so easy to just call support and, for the most part, not have any contention for it. It's nice to not have to fight for a role lol
The other problem of mine I've discovered is that I have a tendency to be a bit too risky - I die far more than I should. Usually it doesn't cost us much, and I have been climbing clearly... but many of my deaths are avoidable, and I need to work on recognizing how to do that.
