The League community is complete BS

I'm tired of every third game that I join be filled with trolls and people that are asshats. It's pretty freaking frustrating. Makes me not care about the game anymore, and I've been a loyal customer/player since S3 started.

Like, you expect people to actually play games when they're getting verbally abused and shit talked the ENTIRE game, multiple times a day? It's BS.

And yeah, there's a report function. It honestly doesn't do much in comparison to the actual number of toxic people. If the tribunal worked as well as you said it would, I wouldn't see toxic teams in nearly 33% of the games I decide to play.

Honestly, there really, really needs to be a better way to deal with toxic players, and players that are complete dicks.

Hi Reiki, I wanted to address some of your concerns.

Firstly, I think the problem in your underlying argument is that you make it a point to mention that you're verbally abused, and that your teams are toxic, therefore the Tribunal must not work; This is incorrect. Psychologically speaking, you're far more likely to remember the worst / most toxic games than normal, well-off games. (This is why, during my promos, I always think I get the worst players, while in reality it's the same as normal queue, really).

Secondly, you are correct - The community is toxic. But, not for the tribunal reason. The tribunal does work very well. I want you to keep in mind that the people who are harassing you typically are low lives. Think about it; **They necessitate a need to raise their ego over an ONLINE setting where they are NOT ONLY ANONYMOUS but know NOTHING About the people they are talking / insulting. **

Long story short, they really aren't worth your time. If, at this point in time, toxic players cannot realize that in the majority of their games they are the issue, let them remain toxic, be pruned, and never climb.

I'm sorry for the discomfort. I'll gladly play games with you!

There is also the in-game mute feature. That little chat bubble icon next to their name has saved me many a headache, as well as the fact they are immediately added to your ignore list, so you are very very unlikely to play with them again.

I'm afraid, that by banning all the annoying ("bg report my team"), aggresive ("f*ck u noob i report u") and trolling ("i mid or i go feed") players the community would get diminished by, as you've said 30%. However, many of these players pay some money to Riot, which means that by throwing them away, there would be not enough players to finance the game.

To be honest, I've some suspition that the players that give most money to the Riot are spoilt kids around 14-15 years. People that are 19 or older must think it over before buying a RP pack. I'm sorry to say it, but it's true.

People can be jerks, and tribunal will catch those who are consistently jerks, but lets be honest? How many between you and the people you hang out with are jerks from time to time? It happens a lot. When you see an abuse pattern start the trick is to not let your ego make you feel like you have to get the last word. Mute and move on.
