Can it finally be acknowledged by players that the report system isn't that bad?

I think at this point in the midst of jumping on band wagons and rage over the tribunal people have it set in stone that Riots report system is something majorly flawed, inaccurate, or missing some critical piece of logic, and the only fix is to have people review cases. A lot of people think that in 1 game if several people report you for something that whoever they reported WILL get banned even if they didn't do anything. And it is like clockwork we have to see it explained again and again that the system doesn't work that way.

One thread mentioned a 6 year old that "proved" the system being flawed only for a red to point out the opposite and go as far as pointing out the OP was lieing about the match. Other posts will have similar situations but it's always the red that points out how they misunderstand the system, and I smile everytime it happens. Yet these posts still get upvoted for no reason.

I am not one for congratulating, especially since I already look like a tool for making this post, but I will actually be embarrassed if this doesn't get any attention. So wonderful work Riot on the report system, I can honestly say I very rarely witness the supposed toxic community that I hear about all the time in my 3 years of playing League of Legends, and I don't think you deserve the flak you have been getting.

Edit- I wonder if it's irony that simply trying to credit Riot's community for not being that bad is getting downvoted.

You were making sense until then. You seem to just be in denial.

Did not read. I hope this was a sarcastic post. The title was satirical on its own.

Report system is god awful. All report systems are because they avoid the root of the problem.

Which is toxic gameplay imbalanced teams and champions.

No one likes getting roflstomped. No one likes playing against broken shit. Simple as that.

And i don't mean what some casual that thinks katarina is broken.. I mean actual champions with actual broken abilities.

For example yasuo, very toxic how his design is. very fest or famine very overloaded and has a huge powerspike by buying simply 2 items.

It would irritate anyone getting crit every single auto from any champion. Melee or ranged.

the point is that the game itself provokes toxic behavior because it has a lot of "unfair" mechanics that are hard to play around at times.

This can be true for a lot of things in a lot of games. For example the match making in master chief collection ruined it for me. I haven't played a halo game since halo 2. I was told to rent the game and try it out. I did. The match making was so fucking awful I was playing against people that would afk on both sides and rage out all the time because I was better than them. I was paired agianst pre made teams with like half the enemy team being grouped or some shit at some points while my team wasn';t grouped together at all. It was stacked constantly 1 side or the other. I used to do tournaments and stuff around my state for halo 1/halo 2 as a very young child in my pre teens/teens

So my re entry into the franchise was exstremely shit.

I borrowed the xbox 1 i havent had a console since the first xbox came out.

Things like bad match making are a huge drain on anyone competitive in the slightest.

IMHO the system is not really bad. I have played the game since Season 1 (right after beta) and I have not been banned or chat redistricted since season 2. I had a bad computer and internet in Season 1 so I used to get bans for 3 days and 2 weeks often. But after the season ended I have only been banned ONCE from season 2 to season 4. Keep this in mind that I've had to go afk or dc in few rare games because of power outage or internet problems. I have also gone on a tilt and raged in a few games (yes, im sorry guys, its not a habit but it has happened a few times). Even taking all these into account, I have yet to receive a chat restriction or game bans. So lets admit it, the game and the system gives you a fair amount of window to make mistakes and errors before you really get some punishment. So people who claim that they got 2 week bans or 100 game chat restriction for saying gg or ez (or something o those lines) is absolute BS. They must have had a strong history of afk or flaming in the past or else they would not get such punishments.

I think people are just more annoyed that the power to punish was taken out of their hands with the "recess" of the tribunal, that ended up just being a way to completely remove it for good, and replaced by an auto system.

I'm not saying that is my shared opinion (it isn't, as the old Tribunal was greatly flawed, and a running joke for anyone that was actually around at the time), but I think that is a large part of it. People want to be able to "smite down" the evil "toxic" player by hitting a button, making them feel satisfied they helped.

People feel helpless to a system that is automated, and they have no idea if things aren't happening, even if they are, because it is all behind the scenes. I think that is where the majority of the issue stems, and about 80% of it is just people wanting something to complain about.

Its bad. My friend is toxic. In every game he says qq more to someone at least once. In every game he says suck my dick at least once. And if i say so much as STOP FEEDING i get punished. Not harshly i get 2-3 game chat restrictions which i really dont mind. Either he is lying to me or he tells the truth and never gets chat restriction.

Game 3: Too much to quote and yes this is the only one where I see any indication that he demonstrated toxic behavior though I would not call it extremely toxic. The person that he was referring to told him " kill yourself" several times**.

**He goes on to note that he carried the game to victory and even after submitting a report this player that actually demonstrated what falls into the category as "Extremely Toxic" received no punishment and continued to play league. ****

I thought bolding it would be helpful to you, as it seems you only read what you want to read. Note : As a factor of respect how can you expect us to read everything you post and think about your points when clearly you cannot show that to respect to us?

If all you want is a system that addressed verbal abuse, then sure, its working great. However, verbal abuse is the least of my worries. I have a mute button. I dont have an anti feeder, anti afk, or anti troll button, and the system does jack to address those problems.

I was the one you called a liar btw. I didnt lie about the match, and Riot came to the thread to simply tell me that i had a history of being reported for verbal abuse, which PROVED my point that they dont address actual problems and only care about verbal abuse.

So yes, if you actually want reports and reform to address anything besides verbal abuse, it is beyond flawed, it is broken.
