About community events
It would be cool o those events had a positive impact on the community overall, rather giving personal rewards only.
This was already accomplished: just think about beach party where there were IP boosts and minions with different models, but this can be pushed on.
For example: the ultimate reward was Pool Party Mundo for everyone, as you remember. Obviously was hard to reach and no region managed to get it. Probably giving away a somewhat costly champion with a skin can be pretty expensive to Riot, plus it' s a necessity making it hella hard to obtain. And still is only goven to those who are present to the party.
What if instead, tied to some events ( like Burning Water, but with stretch goals like Pool Party ) it is made free/ it is permanently reduced the price of a champion for the whole community?
For example, winter is coming so there is a Frejlord event. People have to do things and, maybe, choose parts like in Burning Water. Let' s say the event talks about Ashe and Sejuani, and players can choose either one of the sides: the side that gets the most votes influences the benefit for the whole community, present and future players alike.
I am no intern, but i can guess is not a super hard expense to Riot compared to giving away a champ + skin. The event itself will attract people to play, somehow refounding and regaining what was lost in price loss. Probably is not too much and can be pushed even more, but that is just the basic idea ( like giving a border to the partecupants?).
