I think we should really stop a second and think about the champions that came out these last 2-3 years. The more i think about it, the more i think these are the best concepts of champions that we ever had in this game. It's safe to say that these champions are a bit more complicated to play, and some require more coordination between team members, but their skill and mechanics really makes them stand out from the others. Let's take a quick look from 2013 to 2015 (im gonna post these out of my memory maybe i miss something) Prepare for a wall od text, but you can jump to the champions you are interested in. TLDR at the end.

in 2013 we got: Thresh This litle fella surely is one if not THE best support champion (Bard and Tahm are up there too) ever created, not only he is super badass looking, but you actualy feel good when playing support with him (:P), you can make highlight plays and actually carry a team to victory.

Zac This guys waited for a skin for so long that maybe a lot of players forgot about him. But i clearly remember that when he was announced i was like "O_o this is the best thing ever, Flubber + majin bu". The way he plays out on the Rift is still unique in a lot of ways, and sligshooting yourself into battle feels great.

Quinn I love her, i really really like her both in appereance and playstyle. Sadly she is kinda forgotten since 2013, and surely require some work, but the concept idea of having a marksman/assassin with the dynamic duo Quinn+Valor is awsome. Come on Riot, give Quinn and Valor some love! they deserve it

Lissandra Ahhhh, Lissandra <3, not only her release coinceded with a huge event in LoL history with the battle of freljord, many reworks there too, ARAM became a reality and stuff, but this sexy lady surely has a nice spot in the game. She is a mage but she need to go INTO the battle to create panic in the enemy team, an that's what i really like about her. FREEZE THEM TO DEATH.

Aatrox Remember when Ezreal popped up in the old lol forums telling us he found "something"? yeah that was the announcement for Aatrox, easly one of my favorite champions, and the most badass looking champion of all in my opinion. Not only this guy is like a demi god, but he wield a sword that leech life from anything living. Kinda cool eh?, the best part is that he looks like a living Black Metal cover, and thats good.

Lucian Here it is. THe champion with the best login screen ver probably? Not only he has a super cool backstory, with his hate for thresh, but he is still a very unique ADC, that require you to play like you are in Matrix. This guy got the tool in his kit to do super cool plays from an adc prospective. And killing someone after a full Culling feels great

Jinx Okay. Well, let's stop a second here. This was (and still is) by far and large the most hyped champion ever. Seriously i clearly remember that when this Psychopath lady was announced with that super awsome music video the world went crazy. Like literally. Not only that but her kit and mainly her ultimate are really really good. God that video.

Yasuo Ahhh Leage of Legendsdid not have a proper samurai like champion, so here comes YasuOP, i mean Yasuo. Well at release he was pretty disgusting, but he is one of those champion that are really unique in how they play the game. Seriously who would have ever thought to create an ultimate that require your enemy to be IN AIR. Genius.

And that was what we got for 2013, pretty awsome i have to say. But now it's time to move on

2014: Velkoz Take a japanese hentai tentacle monster, fuse it with a bit of Lovecraft, throw in some lasers, and you have for sure a badass looking champion. That is Vel'Koz (wich got leaked much before he was supposed to be released), but still one of the more unique champion, not only because of his look, but also thanks to his Q spell, wich is still kinda strange and unique in how it works.

Braum Ahhh, this guy always brings with him a sensation of peace. The ultimate Defender of Poros, and of champions as well, our Mustacho man is surely the best defensive support of all thanks to his E spell, wich is awsome in it's concept. His teamfighting presence is strong, and he goes around carrying a door as a shield. nuff said

Gnar Here comes the cutiness overload <3 well kind of, this guy is the league version of Dr. Jackyll and Mr. Hyde. Not only that but what really sets him apart is that he is really 2 champions in 1. and Actually 2 champions with different roles too. Mini is dmg focused, Mega is tank focused. definetly one of the best champion ever.

Azir The emperor of Shurima came back to bring Shurima to his former glory. But Shurima is not only About the emperor of Shurima, but also about the lore event about SHurima that showed us why Shurima is an important part of the league of legends universe. So much that we basically have one Shurima themed skin every patch. Did i say Shurima too much? But seriously Azir is still one of the, if not THE most difficult champion to master, and he is the first and probably last, mage that focus on autoattacking, creating a new role only for him basically. Shurima.

Kalista Here comes the spear of vengence! The ghost rider version of league of legends, piercing traitors to death, and mainly hopping like a kangaroo. Adc with unique mechanics, i think she will remain the more peculiar adc of all for quite some time. Needless to say her concept his awsome, and i am pretty sure that we get the Victorious skin for her.

RekSai Well, if someone was complaining about over sexualization of females in League, he will have to take into consideration that Rek'Sai is a lady. Yeah that was so cool about her, is that she is a female monster. League didnt have a champion that went udnerground, and Riot wanted to fix that. Rek'Sai will always be unique as a jungler thanks to her tremor sense, and her unique kit. Her ultimate is strategic and her voiceover is brutal :D.

Less champions in 2014, but the quality is over the top, even better then 2013 in my opinion.

TLDR: Thank you Riot for stepping up your work on champion concepts (and champion reworks too!). I really want to clarify that there are a lot of players like me who are passionate about this game, because you continue to improve and doing always soemthing more.
