Whenever I check my mmr, every time I refresh it without playing a ranked game in between, it keeps changing, always for the better for me at least. Something definitely wrong. Anyone else having this problem when they check mmr on op.gg every 2 minutes?
Btw anyone know how much MMR u lose if you lose 1 ranked game (is 50 MMR below average bad?)
The MMR it gives you is an estimate based on players in your games so if they play games and go up or down it will alter your estimate.
op.gg is just a ROUGH estimate, since they do not have the exact formula that Riot uses for determining MMR. Only Riot knows your true MMR.
Also, the above post is correct. MMR will always fluctuate because it is all based on your MMR relative to your opponents and your win/loss record. The standard deviation of MMR is around 100 points, so 50 points is no big deal.
MMR is very relative and shouldn't be taken as a hard and fast measure of skill. More like a potential of skill. A Diamond player has the potential to make much more skilled plays and maneuvers than a Bronze player, but that doesn't mean it will always work or a mistake won't be made.
