Looking for some clarification about Spell-Vamp

UPDATE: Answered

Original Post: Quick questions regarding Spell-Vamp for any Rioters who know all the technical stuff behind League:

How Exactly does Spell-Vamp work?

More specifically, does it effect All Magic Damage Output, All Damage done by Abilities, or Only Magic Damage done by Abilities?

And just in case that doesn't also these questions:

Will it effect Magic Damage inflicted by item 3115 Nashor's Tooth? How about item 3068 Sunfire Cape, item 3091 Wit's End and the item 3710item 3718item 3722item 3726 Devourer Enchantment?

A timely response would be much appreciated, Riot! Thank you!

Additional Thoughts: I wish there was an actual Magic Damage counterpart to Life-Steal, now... Also, a random thought: Why isn't there a final item that exclusively increases AD (By at least 100), even without any other effects? (item 3031 Infinity Edge doesn't count, as it's reliant on the use of Basic Attacks to Critically Strike)

Much faster than harassing Riot: http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Spell_vamp

Basically any activated ability or item effect that is not an AA modifier applies spell vamp, no matter what kind of damage it deals. Passive abilities/effects, whether innate or from items, will not.

Not a Rioter, but... Spellvamp works expressly on damage from activated abilities (so long as they do not apply on-hit effects or modify basic attacks), regardless of the damage type.

For more information, here's the wiki page.

I think it's all damage done by abilities, a % of that will return as HP.

Spell vamp is a magical stat that converts a percentage of the ability damage dealt into health regained. Activated abilities that do not state they "apply on-hit effects" or modify your "next basic attack" will benefit from spell vamp.

Spell vamp works off of activated item effects, Smite, and abilities, regardless of the type of damage done. It is calculated from the damage dealt to the enemy after reductions such as magic resistance, armor or effects like Unbreakable Will.

Almost certainly because it would crowd out the others. For a long time ADCs that had strong scaling on their abilities (Graves or Caitlyn, for example) crowded out most of the other, more AA-based champs because BT's 100 AD (after stacking) simply meant more to them than IE did to, say, Tristana.

It might be somewhat more manageable without the Lifesteal, but I think we'd see more of the same if such an item made a reappearance.
