Tribunal and Post-Game Chat

After doing a fair bit of Tribunal work and starting to play more pvp across all modes, I've noticed that a lot of the most toxic behavior that I can witness, especially from an enemy team, is in the post-game chat. I just finished an ARAM a little bit ago and my enemy team started tearing into each other without restraint immediately. What was more astounding, other than their racist, homophobic, and other offensive language, is that one of my friends stayed in the room to see how long it would continue and he finally left after ten minutes. It would be great if Riot could add a function that would export the post-game chat at the time of reporting to the Tribunal. Quite frankly, people who I've voted to punish have been time banned for less than some of the things I've seen in post-game chats.

I always copy/paste the passage of post-game harassment into the report. Haven't seen anyone else do it while judging cases. Makes me wonder if it goes through at all (what with the color-coding and all, hope it does not mess up the report formatting).

Including Champ Select chat is just as important as including the Game chat AND the post-game chat. Before and after the game, toxic players seem to feel really "safe". And we all know what happens when toxicity begins in Champ Select... Riot pls.

This. This has been a long time coming, and I don't think anybody is quite sure why Riot hasn't implemented it yet.

I agree in most ways. Post game chats expecally in ranked or draft can be harmful to both the games reputation if your a first time player of MMOs as well as teamwork as players tend not to work well together if their is previous animosity between them. Its nearly as bad in pre game sometimes as well. While a player might be able to disable chat in the game it is not possible in the game lobby. A way to fix this might be to allow pre game reporting or allowing players to mute or to not show certain players chats

I don't get why you care... You can leave the post game chat immediately. People on league need to stop caring about why people type and just play the game. IMO they should just cut the entire tribunal and replace it with a kind of negative honor system. You just mark that person as toxic and it shows up on their profile for having toxic points. Banning people from playing is kind of an empty threat that makes people more upset and keeps potential customers of Riot from playing. They put a mute command for a reason. Grow up and deal with the rudeness of the world or don't play.

I've had an idea for this problem! Why couldn't Riot implement a system that can capture the post-game chat as a separate log and "attach" it to the report whenever necessary. This way rather than tie up client usage to always include post-game chat it could be selectively included when the post-game chat is relevant to the reportable offenses. I see usage of this self-imposed inclusion of post-game logs could help to increase the effectiveness of the Tribunal and increase the evidence usable in actions against players. Ultimately, this system would be an easier inclusion of post-game chat (only when necessary) that could finally solve this commonly wanted improvement.
