If someone is rude or trolling I'll usually just mute them. I play for my own enjoyment, not other people's. :p I try not to let other people bother me that much and I try to queue up with friends.

I think most people dislike duo queues because they can really mess up the overall skill level of the team and put you at a disadvantage, but sometimes it does work in your favor. Another thing I personally dislike about some duos is that they think they are entitled to whatever roll they want, even if the second duo is last pick. There are good and bad duos out there, just like there are good and bad people out in real life.

I never tell the team when I duo, because then the team assumes that we belong in bot lane. Instead, I treat champion select like it is a normal game and go wherever I need to.

Most duo's are there to play with a friend, or to help someone of lesser skill in a lane, in which case it makes sense that they want to share bottom lane. I think the problem is that there is an automatic assumption that the less skilled of the two players will drag the whole team down beyond redemption.

the community is horrible. im stuck in silver right now do to the fact that people are just horrible and shouldnt rank or 90% of games have trolls. no matter what i do there is no hope in moving up. im hopeless right now.there should be a way to get trolls out of the game. if that means making trolls get perma band or something. ive had it

I think it's shit and I'm a part of that. There is no incentive to be "nice" or "a team player" aside from a few statements saying we'd win more... which we just have to take at face value.

Meanwhile there is everything to lose by doing anything that might offend anymore.

You're better off just picking your champions, staying silent and ignoring all chats you can.

I think a large portion of the community is affected by complaining raging and trolling like a junkie is by their addiction they wont admit they have a problem or if they do they act/feel like there's nothing they can do about it either because they've had enough bad experiences with toxic behavior or because they like to rage/complain/troll but can't admit that to themselves.

continuing with the junkie metaphor they hurt others with their addiction through abuse or alienation they get busted (reports/tribunal) and that can be a wakeup call but it doesn't get to the root of the problem.

so the community is mostly ok but we gotta get these toxic player's into rehab.

You know, this game is very competitive, and from that competition, it is also very heated and in the moment. I can honestly see why some people get angry, and while I try to be above that sort of influence, sometimes I too get angry at someone's mistake. What I've gotten from this community though is the ability to ignore it and move on. The mute button is really all you need to keep the toxicity out of your game. Unfortunately a negative community is never a good advertising base to get new people to play the game, however Riot has done a wonderful job of addressing this issue recently and is still continuing to progress through taking care of vitriol. So, all in all, once you don't let it get to you, you actually find that there are more decent people out there than there are negative people, and you end up having a more fun time because of it!
