Disconnecting Followed by Banned.

I'll start with this, I've never had this happen, but I know people who have.

Alright, I've recently had friends randomly banned after being reported from disconnecting from matches. They didn't rage quit or leave at will, their connection dropped and they were forced out of the League client and out of the game. Due to technical problems, they were removed from game. Some were unable to rejoin due to horrible conditions, however they were still able to be reported and punished for something out of their control.

It seems so pointless to make a thread of this, but I know there are other people who have encountered a problem like this. Players shouldn't be punished for being removed from matches when it was out of their control. I understand punishing rage quitters or afkers, but if they are removed from games due to bad connections or game crashes, that should put them in a different category.

LeaverBuster automatically reports disconnects.

It can't interpret chat.

So, yes, the only way to be avoid being punished for disconnects is to not play games where you are punished for poor internet.

That said, you really do ruin the game if you leave, intentionally or not. So cracking down on repeat offenders make sense, regardless of their intentions. Even if they're the nicest person around, they've still left their teammates in a horrible position countless times and thus Riot has the right to remove their from their servers. It's not a very nice truth, and trust me I know it's the worst feeling when your connection ruins the game for your team, but it's something you just have to accept because League is a game, and people who keep others from enjoying it - even through no fault of their own - should be kept from the main playerbase.

You see this in sports, you see this in any other competitive game, heck you even see this in more casual online play. You even see this in real life if your friends hate the way you play, say, Mario Party or something. It's something unavoidable in any environment for fun.

How are people supposed to know if someone rage quits or DC? They can not. So they report them for leaving game. If your internet is that bad do not play public games. Play pre-made with friends only.

To be honest they should do something like that because you can tell the diffrence to when a player disconnect or reconnect.

When they disconnect the annoucer says: This

Then when they leave (The announcer says the same thing) but on the screen it says

"XYZ" have left the game. Instead of disconnecting.

IMO if riot have the capability of detecting the 2 difference, then they could definitely show some bypass or solution for people with network problems.
