I own a macbook, and while it runs league it lags :/ Looking to buy an used iMac, but was wondering if they can run it on the highest settings.

**Which one would you recommend? **These are my 3 options:

  1. $400 27" iMac Processor: 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3 Memory: 8GB DDR3 Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5670 512MB

  2. $500 27" iMac Processor: 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3 Memory: 4GB DDR3 Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5750 1024 MB

It would be awesome if either of the two can run it but the graphics cards seem to be pretty out of date.... Last option would be:

  1. $800 21.5" iMac Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 Memory: 8GB DDR3 Graphics: Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200

I know iMac's aren't optimal, but I prefer macs and decent monitors cost ~$300 themselves so I figured a used all-in-one is best bang for buck.

You can get a decent monitor for like $110, build your own pc. Apple sucks, iMacs are garbage.

I use an Asus gaming laptop. If you're willing to spend $800 on a used iMac, I'd just get a new comp.

Options 1 or 2 are no good? The third one is practically new though. Only a few months of use. I'm also thinking of ease to re-sell since I have to move in 1.5 years and it's easier to sell macs.

I understand you said that you prefer macs, but if i may make a suggestion: Go watch this Austin Evans video, its a $350 pc that will blow literally all of your listed computers out of the water. Newegg is also having a monitor sale at the moment so you can get a pretty decent 1080p 22-29" for a good price. Links below. The second video i have listed is showing how to build the pc in the first video, it's really not all that hard whatsoever.
