Yeah, I give up.
No matter what champion I play, no matter how well I learn the game and any matchups / champions, no matter what I do... it doesn't matter in the end. Skill / knowledge is not a factor in a game like League; all that matters is how high your stats are, and how many targeted abilities you have. You can play Azir like a god, but an LB, Fizz, Annie, etc., of equal skill can come along, click on you, and win. No buts about it. Really kind of find the "pro" scene funny, given how most of the champions that were picked in worlds are absolutely braindead gimme champs -- but hey, it's an F2P game, why would I expect effort/skill to matter? Kids wouldn't throw money at Riot by the fistful if they had to actually try in order to win.
So, yeah, I give up. Obviously I'm never going to rank anywhere, and obviously I can't play a fun champ and be remotely competitive. I tried to hold onto the idea that if I practiced these fun champs enough and learned how to use them effectively, that I could beat someone like LB or Xin, but I guess I get to be bored to tears if I ever want to win, because the only way to win is to play champs that require no thought or effort beyond clicking on someone -- fun.
Riot, you talk so much about balance, can you explain to me why champions who do nothing but AUTOMATICALLY attack people are, by far, the strongest in the game (ADCs)? Right-click > Win -- how is that fair, when someone like Azir, Ori, Ekko and so on have to put in so much effort to do a FRACTION of the damage? I just don't understand in what world this game is "fair" or "balanced." Unless "balanced" means "most profitable" in disguise.
