Riot and Follow gamers

Hello, my name is SilkCrust (hopefully soon to be changed to Amose). I am a college student studying to become a journalist and I want to get some practice. My idea is to blog about League of Legends. For example, LCS, updates, information about teams, skin reviews (possibly), new champion reviews, etc. On a side I might write about products gamers can use to optimize gaming. My ultimate goal is to start getting sponsored and be able to write about League events and other things like Twitchcon. I want to be able to go to the events and write about how each day was and possibly share interviews. I need help getting started. I am looking for sites that are free that I can use to get myself started. Also I am looking for more ideas to put into my blog. I would be putting as much effort as I can into making this blog entertaining for everyone including myself. Thanks for the help!

Edit: I have possibly found a site that will let me create a free blog! I will keep people updated via edits on this post!
