Morality and LoL and where that leaves me.

Foreword I have no idea where this thread is going. It might end up a bit rant-ey, or it might sound stupid to the players who haven't been around to see abuse cases come and go over the many seasons that I've been playing the game. I just felt like saying a few words about things that have been bugging me for a while now.

Introduction Put simply, there are some things I won't do on principle alone. Just like real life. Things that make a big impact, for a short amount of time, that recur over and over in many different forms.

Here we go... New stuff. I've seen countless cases of new items and new masteries and what not abused. Take Runeglaive for example. It was released to be the Spellblade for junglers. It was, however, used and abused by the likes of AP Ezreal and Diana until it was nerfed over and over. Goodbye Diana jungle. It's not the champions that abuse the item who suffer the consequences - its the champions the item was MADE for. And Riot has never been one to to put their collective minds together and come up with a creative solution. No, they just nerf the hell out of it until the problem goes away.

I've never been the type of player to jump straight into a game, especially Ranked, knowing that my internet may be unstable or that my computer can't adequately handle the game. Part of this responsibility falls onto the player, and part of it falls onto Riot themselves. But mostly the player. Why mostly the player? The short story is that Riot does not, has never, and probably never will have either a system in place that prevents players who will be a burden to a team based off their ping and/or computer performance, or a system that compensates players who suffer at the hands of said players and thoroughly and adequately punishes them for being irresponsible and deter them from repeating that mistake in the future.

Back when I played on a Laptop, I got to the point where I knew it couldn't adequately handle the game and I stuck purely to Normals. Back before I had my internet upgraded, I ONLY played (Ranked) during my days off from uni or late at night when I knew that I was the only person on the internet and my internet would be stable.

I won't play Ranked when I'm stressed or angry. GO OUT. Go to the gym, ride your bike, kick a ball around in the back yard. Get some endorphins flowing, have a shower, THEN come back and play. Eat healthy. All that stuff. I used to actually create big threads back in 2013 on the old forums trying to get Riot to implement a fitness regime for LCS players because you could fry chips with the amount of oil and grease and sh*t spewing out of their foreheads. And now it's a fairly common practice for LCS teams who have their own self-imposed fitness regimes within each individual brand.

Final words I could go on for days about some of the things I do because it's what I feel is the right thing to do for my sake, and for the greater well-being of the community. I'm sure there's things some of you guys will or will not do because you know somewhere down the line it will cost someone something.
