PBE ACCOUNT DISABLED FOR BEING "OLD" NOT FOR BEING INACTIVE?

I am having trouble understanding the logic behind my pbe account being disabled.

PBE Accounts created before 2013 are being disabled because they were created on an "old PBE system." Granted, thats somewhat understandable. I am still having trouble understanding how virtual data gets "old" other than the creation date. This is not the same as inactive. I would understand if an account was inactive since 2013 and it being disabled.

I'm having further trouble understanding how I was just on the PBE literally before it went down for maintenance today and right after the server comes up it was disabled for being "old." Also, what system the account was created under has nothing to do with me, nor do I have any control over that. I'm not understanding why I am not getting any assistance on getting back into the PBE other than, "sign up when the sign-up page is up, which I can't answer when that is."

That is basically saying, "You had a pbe account with pbe access but by no fault of your own, you no longer have access to the PBE and we will not be giving you your access back and there is nothing you can do, other than possibly, MAYBE, signing up again"..... but wait.... sign-ups have been down since April and when they do come back up in 2020, I am not promised to ever get another PBE Account again. I'm struggling to find the fairness in this.

Now of course "PBE Accounts don't last forever." That is not my issue. My issue lies in that I am not allowed PBE access because it was created in 2013? Yet I literally have been on the PBE almost everyday to the point that the PBE client and the LIVE client are open simultaneously until I play a LIVE game and close the PBE server until I choose to test something again, which was about to be Kayn. So much for that I guess.

Well, to play devil's advocate: I applied for a PBE account in 2014. I've never received one. I've never received any kind of in game punishment, my account has always been in good standing. I don't play a tonne, but I play somewhat consistently (although a good number of normals). I also have played a fair share of off-meta things throughout my days of league that have become meta largely through PBE changes. I mained Hecarim jungle in season 4 when he wasn't popular at all (then a small buff saw him dominate top lane, then he came back to being a jungler). I've played J4 top since late season 5 and his recent W buffs have seen him become a regular top laner. Ahri is the only mid laner I've played since starting league, and she received a major rework in early season 5 and has had several balance issues since.

Yet I've still never gotten a PBE account. Why? Perhaps it's because so many of the older accounts have been on there for so long. Maybe Riot has figured, you know what, we haven't let anyone new on the PBE in years. It's time we make space for some new faces in there. And they set an arbitrary date (let's say 2013) and said these guys have been able to experience PBE play for long enough that they can give someone else a turn.

I really don't know. I'm just playing devil's advocate. I think the PBE users who are on there almost every day should stay on there. The ones who only go on when a new champion gets released should give up their turn after a couple years. Honestly, that's the reason they have a PBE account - they only play it to learn how to play as (and against) a new champion so that when he's released live they have an advantage over everyone else and can climb some easy ranks. Pretty unfair to consistently give that advantage to the same people every year, just because they happened to start playing league earlier than some other people. A PBE tester should be there for most/all of the balance changes. Not just new champions and major reworks. They should be playing at least 1 game per patch (I mean, it's not like you can't take a break/vacation, but in general). Otherwise rotate them out and give someone else a turn. I think that's reasonable. Who knows what Riot is actually doing though. I sympathize that a regular PBE player would feel cheated by the arbitrary boot.
