Don't worry about where you're placed because if you're good enough, you can carry yourself out of the elo you're put in. As hard to believe as it sounds, that's what you might have to do - solo carry and have 4 other people hold on for the ride.
My first time playing ranked I was afraid too because I wasn't doing well in my placements and ended up in Bronze 2 or 3. It was disheartening because I thought I deserved to be higher, and couldn't figure out why I wasn't climbing out. I thought it was my teammates being bad, but I eventually noticed it was because of my picks, my playstyle, my CS'ing ability, and my sense of awareness. I needed to be a better player and practice more in normals before coming back to ranked.
The practice helped, but if it still isn't enough like it wasn't enough for me, it might be the case where you need to find your champion. Not a main, not a favorite, you need to find your champion, the one who mirrors your playstyle and can get you great results. Back in season 3 stuck in Bronze, mine was Twitch when he was OP as hell. I never knew how strong he was because everyone picked Draven, but quickly realized when I started playing him that he was _also _ insane when he gets ahead.
Twitch got me out of Bronze and into mid-Silver where my winrate went down to 66.7% (yes, it went down) once people figured out what pink wards were. Because you haven't played a lot of games, you might not have found your champion yet. Go into some more normals and try different champions and different roles to see what you can find as a match.
