[Complaint] I'm still being matched up with Silver I's and Gold's

I just don't get it. I was Silver IV and V last season the entire season. Now I'm Bronze IV, but I'm being matched with CURRENT SIlver I's and the occasional Gold V, yet I'm a Bronzie..

I'm talking about Normals AND Ranked. Is this because I was SIlver last season or what? Because I made another thread about my load trim and they said I will keep the silver regardless of my current rank for the entirety of this season. Does this mean I'll be matched up with this season's silver this entire season as well? Explain pls.

I'm a noob when it comes to Riot's matchmaking.

(PS. I'm posting this just now because I just got out of a match with enemies playing like they were Gold's/Plat's even though they are Silver's now)
