Leaving Champ Select

So Riot, I don't understand why we can't get a way to leave a champ select without having to completely X out of the client. Sometimes the nice players that follow the rules and like to be friendly and good teammates during champ select get the short end of the stick when an immature player decides to take a role even though someone in a higher pick order already claimed it. The other players should not have to dodge a queue because of immaturity. Riot please help us.
