I just might be the unluckiest LoL player ever. Tell me what you think.

Every game I have to deal with multiple technical issues out of my control. If you can think of one, I have probably experienced it within any given week.

I:

  • Live on East Coast - ping never drops below 100
  • Fall victim to almost every bug that plagues this game's client, usually resulting in me getting into games late about 20% of the time
  • Have people around me who don't understand that this is an unpausible game with 9 other people who, a lot of the time, will demand I leave for various reasons. Even when I am almost positive nobody will need me for anything, they will get ahead of schedule and demand my attention
  • Play on a 5-year-old laptop that wasn't even good in its day. Seriously, my framerate will never exceed 30. During laning, it sits around 15, and when a teamfight breaks out, it will almost undoubtedly drop to 6 or lower (I've had 1 fps on several occasions). This is on all the lowest possible settings, nothing else open, and my League priority set to High or Realtime.
  • I have internet that seems reliable until I start playing. I usually don't have to deal with disruptions. Oh look! Our Lee is coming to gank the two low health enemies! WTF? Why am I frozen? Really? Just last game, I clicked my lane from base and DCed about half way there. No problem, I guess. At least nothing was going on. When I reconnect 2 minutes later, I had a death. Apparently DC pathing hasn't been working lately and I just continued to walk into the enemy team and die, letting the enemy ADC (who I was beating pretty harshly) snowball into an unstoppable monster during the rest of the time I was gone.
  • Have low blood flow to my fingers, so when it's cold it's really hard to do anything (this sneaks up on a person more than you'd think).

I'm honestly not exaggerating when I say that something involving one (or more) of these issues just BARELY puts me behind, leading to a series of super close calls that I end up losing in about 30% of my games. It's really frustrating to constantly deal with a bunch of issues that are legitimately BS (and not that, "I barely lost that 1v1! BS!" type of thing), but somehow I got to platinum. Moral of the story? If you have good playing conditions, being low elo is nobody's fault but your own.

It seems to me your first and fourth problems relate to your third problem. Get a reasonable desktop PC. I wouldn't be surprised if you need a new router, as well.

Between your second and fourth problems, I have to ask, why do you even play? Are you incapable of realizing that not only is playing LoL going to be a frustrating experience for you, but for everyone you get teamed with?
