Behavior Reform

Can anyone please help me? I understand a lot of people probably come here and try to act innocent but this is really insane to me. I'm not trying to absolve myself of any mistakes made but this doesn't make sense to anyone.

My account was permanently banned after 5 years. I'm not going to say that I'm innocent because clearly riot decided that I broke the rules and punished me, however this happened all over a period of 6 months. I have played this game for 5 years, I didn't just suddenly become more toxic, and I have been doing my best. I didn't even consider myself a toxic player because I don't actively seek people out and yell at them for mistakes. I simply have a hard time ignoring people who are abusing me or others and are intentionally trolling. I was not given that many chances because I did not realize that responding to awful people was considered against the rules until I was banned for it. The next 2 times I was banned were months apart and were because I responded to people intentionally trolling the game, I'm used to a different system. If you slipped up in the past you were not immediately punished for it unless it happened multiple times. I received no reports in between the bans this is all an extreme shock to me.

How am I supposed to reform in such a short period of time when context are details are not important, only chat logs are looked at. I feel like I went out of my way for months to ignore people and mute everyone but one match I forgot to and I got reported and instantly banned again. That's not a great feeling. When you are legitimately trying your best to ignore all the abuse and trolling that still exists and then snap because you still see it and then you get punished for responding to it again. Everyone who plays with me is incredibly surprised that I am being punished. They know I don't actively yell at people on my team for making bad decisions, I just have a problem responding back to other players who have already created a toxic environment. I can not imagine that this is what Riot has in mind for the punishment system. I have close to 6000 games played with everything combined, of course i'm going to have a lot of reports against my account when you play that much and have seen the amount of trolling increase from 1 out of 20 games to 1 out of 3 games. It really was not clear to me what I could or couldn't say to people because I was banned for not even swearing at someone which is extremely different than the past system.

I would really like another chance considering that I am not malicious, I don't afk or intentionally feed, and I don't attack people for making bad decisions. I'm just an idiot who gets baited into responding to people so that they can report me. I understand that I have no choice but to ignore people now or I can not continue playing this game, I really don't want to throw away 5 years of my time simply because I did not realize how drastic this system has been changed.

Although I havent had this issue I agree that sometimes it comes out of the blue. Once I disconnected in ranked for about 1 minute came back and won and I got a 1 day ban for leaving a game

Don't feed the trolls. Just ignore them. They want you to respond and they want to get you banned.

Also send a support ticket to Riot.

When people troll in ranked or feed or be toxic I don't snap at them but instead create a very confusing environment for them. Example: Riven This support is so #%#+^+# bad, piece of Alistar and Hecarim @&$( I hope you get cancers and die you degenerate dog. Blitzcrank My uncle ate a blue lettuce tomorrow. Riven What? Blitzcrank My uncle ate a blue lettuce tomorrow. Then complete silence.

I think getting banned for yelling at trolls is stupid but I can see Riot's reasoning. It's because that if a troll creates a negative environment and you snap at them you are helping them create a much more negative environment even if you think it's deserved.

I have the same problem here. I never insult people because I know I will get reported, but I do talk back and defend myself, POLITELY. I still get reported and I'm on the verge of getting banned. UPVOTED

that sucks. I have to walk on eggshells now because if I say anything about how troll-y the game has gotten I get reported. And the automated garbage system can't recognize trolls.

Amen. Ive been playing for just as long, and I usually dont respond when someone argues, but today, my top laner decided to continue to put me down and call me bad etc etc.. and he asked a question on why I didn't do something during a teamfight, I informed him that my skills we on CD and I couldn't do much (as a support). He continued to use cap locks and rage at everyone. But because I had replied to his question, he started focusing on me and every move I did. At the end of the game, I was headed mid as the enemy team was trying to kill our turret; this guy starting getting mad that I wasn't there and sarcastically said "thanks alot" I got fed up with his attitude after ignoring it for so long, and said "yw" and then accepted to surrender. I went 1/3/3 and he was 2/10/3; I was sent to the tribunal for this game. League has gotten so toxic that its becoming not fun to play anymore. When I first started to play, it was rare to see this, now it is in every single game. I've been in games where we would be one turret away (a definite win imo), and two people start going at it and started throwing and lost.

But you have another chance, you can start over fresh with a new account. You can even set a goal of using the mute button more or playing with friends whenever possible.

unfortunately Riot is rich enough that they can basically ignore any attempts to reverse tribunal for customer service

oh wait... there is no tribunal...
