@Bronze/Silver posters, How to take you seriously in Boards?
#1) Do not center yourself as the balance of everything.
If you want to discuss about a champion's strength being OP or not, try to approach it with having other's opinion matters instead of just from yourself. Here's an example:
Good: I think Zed is just far too strong. Does anyone else think so? Or is it just me?
Bad: He's too strong, and he seriously needs nerfs. He just goes in & one-shots me.
#2) Have respect for others with your comments.
If you really do not have much else to say (such as to disagreements with your opinions & such), avoid making petty & desperate arguments to back yourself up. Instead, respect their opinion & try to post with something that settles tings between the two of you.
Good: Hmm, you're quite right about this. However, I may have to stick with what I know from now. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Bad: Don't care, you're entitled to your own opinion. Also Bad: Stop harassing me, reported. (I swear to God, you have no idea how many immature responses I've seen such as this...)
#3) Grammar & punctuation is everything.
People will take your words for granted if you can lay out a proper sentence for every readers to read with ease. No one wants to read words where it's either just a straight up essay, or things where it's either a block of text with no paragraphing or no full stop or commas detected anywhere.
Good: Braum is a good champion who has strong defensive tools to help save his allies. He also utilizes an ult which helps knocks-up & slows enemies in a line. He is definitely a good champion to pick for a Support role.
Bad: Braum is best champion...gots slow and knock up & kills all enemies....good for support.
Dear non-English speakers, one Full Stop (.) is good enough, avoid using these questionable (...) in about every end of the sentence.
#4) Avoid having irony in your words.
This can apply to a majority of Bronze/Silver, or maybe even the higher elos as well. If you want to discuss about a champion's strength being too strong, avoid being slapped back by playing a champion in that same level as well. Instead, also add in what you were playing against him & question yourself what you did wrong.
Good:
You: It's really difficult to lane against as Yasuo as he dashes & crits too many times. But it's probably my fault for it. I was playing Camille against him, and I really need help on how to play against him. Anybody can lend me tips?
Expected response: Readers will mainly lend you some tips, either it being on how to combo right or use other champions.
Bad:
You: Yasuo is just straight up disgusting. He has infinite fking dashes & crits to help do his job. Why isn't this freelo nerfed yet??
Expected response: You're bad. Git gud. Expected response 2: You're Camille. Look who's talking.
Special note: Never make a champion's strength argument when you're playing an unorthodox champion against him. This will never be taken seriously by almost everyone in Boards. Don't make a Yasuo argument if you're playing someone like Blitz/Tank Karma/Soraka/etc top.
This is what I have so far. Anyone else is free to add in order to make Bronze/Silver posters to have a better time in Boards.
And before you state to me "Dude, you're Silver too blah blah blah", I'm S6 Platinum 5 & currently Gold 3 on my other account.
