Why I actually think Bronze is not that bad, and a message for those who are stuck in "Elo Hell"
I'm writing this after watching my brother play a game in Bronze and hearing him rage... You know, the whole "My team sucks!! I can't win like this!" etc...
Well, thing is, I played on season 4 at the beginning and got placed in Bronze, and due to life things I had to stop. I played enough to get out of Bronze, but not any further. But this year, being a lot better at the game, I got placed in Silver and found myself climbing without much issue. And I realize that part of this can be attributed to what I learned from playing in the Bronze tiers.
Bronze is a place where you can't rely on anyone. It is the like the... 3rd world of League of Legends. 3rd world nations (I was raised in one) are a place where every man lives for themselves and care about themselves and their families before anyone else. In Bronze, players don't know how to do certain "key" things right, and it is your job to pick up on those things, learn them yourselves, and use them against your opponents so you can carry the game. It is in this divisions that you will have to fend for yourself and make sure you win the game for yourself, and your teammates.
The Bronze Tier and low Silver are the places where you will obtain the mechanics to move on throughout the game, because trust me, already at high silver/low-mid-gold elo, fights are a little more organized and people understand the game a lot better. So instead of dwelling on how inexperienced your teammates may be and how terrible the Bronze teams are, use your time in this "warm-up" version of League to get better at the game. As soon as you start picking up on these things, the depths of Elo will be history for you.
Just a thought :)
