Riot, what would you do if EVERYONE hated a rework?

Yes I know there is always a group of people that hate reworks and there are people that just hate Riot in general, but that's not what I'm talking about. It's hard to say the general consensus about the Galio update because let's be honest that these boards are a pretty poor representation of the community's thoughts. But I think most people could agree this update is controversial to say the least. So back to my point...

Imagine if hypothetically, we had definitive proof that the majority, say 75% of players, said they absolutely hated a rework. This could refer to any update down the line, but what if everyone just completely hated it? Imagine they completely gutted some champ in every aspect and no one likes the new one. What would Riot do?

Would they revert it? Keep it? Put them back on the rework list? Or put them through a smaller class update?

I'm genuinely curious, how would Riot react if after spending so much time and effort they realized their work was a complete failure?

Realistically, a rework that bad would have never left playtesting.

Now, in the hypothetical sense that it did, I believe that it would take higher tier players to speak out. Pro players, Retired Pros, Challenger and Master tier players, as well as other well known faces in the community.

If something that bad were to happen, it would be interesting to see what would happen.

Right now, people are up Riot's ass about the Galio Rework and the Aatrox Changes. However, I have yet to see a pro talk about their implications.

Aatrox and Galio never saw play anyway, and they may not still.

At this point, this season is really intriguing for me to watch.

They would most likely sit on the rework after it's release to see if it gains popularity after the initial "knee-jerk" reaction of the community, and if the dislike remains consistent they would see what they can do to adjust/modify the rework to make it more popular. The only thing that would force Riot to revert a rework (after the given steps already listed above) would be if it was impossible to balance (ex: kogmaw) or destroyed the champion's identity (I see no example here, Sion got completely changed awhile ago but it was generally approved of)

Amen! The new Galio rework rubs me the wrong way. Here's hoping Riot will hear us and change him back.

I personally love the new Galio. I gotta give Riot credit, both reworks this year have hit me in personal ways, making me love the champs all the more. The fact that Galio gives me the Titanic Brawler character I always wanted to play doesn't hurt either.
