"Group mid for team fight"

Do people understand there are other ways to win games? I was just flamed all game for suggesting we split push since the enemy team has an Ekko, Mf, Fizz, Leona and Shen... We have a Nasus, Lee Sin, Ezreal, Brand and Thresh. (I was Lee Sin)

I was called r%%%%%ed, told to kill myself and many other vulgar things for suggesting that we split push instead of team fight. (We were also 20 kills behind)

I took a few turrets bot then moved to Top and ended up taking nearly every turret that game. After the win I was flamed more in post-game chat and told how useless I was all game. This is in silver by the way, I don't know how much longer I can take this.
