Why, as a Silver VI player, does this matchmaking think its fair to match me vs Diamond+ players?

I'll be honest, I'm a really shitty player in every aspect of this game. I've been playing for two straight years and I'm still complete shit. I win by sheer luck 50% of the time, the other half it's because I got carried by amazing random players. I won a lot during my rise to 30, sure, but now I feel like I can't go one game without getting matched against guys that ultimately can roflstomp me from minute one. I feel like I'm stuck, and my fun levels are slowly but surely deceasing and getting replaced with salt. In other words, I'm finding it hard to enjoy playing this game now. What should I do? Is there even anything I can do?

I feel ya, I was S3 and one time in aram I got a plat in the enemy team, we won the match by sheer luck. And then another time, the entire team had 2 plats and 3 golds, of course, we lost. I sometimes don't understand the matchmaking system.

There is only one thing you really can do in this situation. Let's review what you are going through; You are a silver player, facing diamond players, and you find yourself losing very often. Given these circumstances, you can only do one thing, which will require intense thinking. Git gud
