Grow up?

Riot should be embarrassed, not because server transfer takes a long time, but rather they completely made themselves look inept (a la Blizzard) with the maintenance updates. That was just silly.

It is going to be up soon... even then two minutes after you bunch of whiners will have forgotten about it ... grow up .... server maintenance is not easy and Riot people are working hard so you can be able to play and complain about something else... You should be happier to have a free game of this quality ... if you can't wait ... just get a life or a hobby ...

I feel like Ryntak has some sand in his craw. Let me know when the pearls come out.

Hey are the servers still down? I couldn't tell from the 100s of people bitching and complaining about it.

If you're seriously sitting here waiting for the full 10+ hours then you need to get off your fat ass and do something productive with your life.

You obviously have zero understanding of how servers work and/or what is going on.

They are transferring everything to new servers and have had issues along the way slowing the process down. This kind of shit happens. Stop being frustrated. It's a game.

I'm disappointed this happened and that I probably won't be able to farm out the IP for Kallista before she comes out but I'd rather the servers be fully prepared before I log in.

Just because it's a game, doesn't mean that these people (whose job is to make/maintain games) should be so unreliable. Oh I can wait, I can find other things to do. I know it takes a long time to do maintenance.

But right now it looks like Riot didn't know that "it takes long to do maintenance" and had given us an unrealistically high expectation of them (12 hours, yeah right), which is their fault since they couldn't predict with any accuracy how long their project would really take. Yeah, okay, some unexpected complications may have occurred. That's understandable, it happens. But 6 hours...?

If they had just figured out what they were going to do, and how they would do it, and just told us the servers would be down the whole day like it is now, people won't be as frustrated.

In a sense i can agree with TC. I think the people over there should have anticipated the long down time and have a longer estimate if 12 hours was too much for them. Not only that but the fact that this is still the maintenance from before, and again if they were going to take this long they might have well just kept the game offline majority of the day and also patched 4.20 along with it because the way things are going it seems we will barely get any game time today before they close the game again because of the patch tonight/tomorrow! just seems like a whole lot of mess they could have easily gotten themselves out of by just having it all in one go!
