So I finished Season 4 Silver 5 and during the off-season I worked my way up to Gold 5. After the reset, how many placement matches would I have to win to get in Gold 5? I know it's impossible to give a definitive answer, I just want an idea.
S3 won 6 out of 10 game.........silver 1 S4 won 4 out of 10 games.......gold 5 S5 won 9 out of 10 games bronze 5 WTF!!
Likely all of them. I think that with 2 losses you're surely silver. 4 or more is likely bronze.

You're going to end up silver, it's just the way the MMR reset works after the season ends. The way I saw it explained last year is that they save what your MMR was after the season ends and then what you gain in preseason counts for less than what it does during the season. Then when they reset it's some average between your MMR and the default (the calculation used to be MMR + 1200/2 but Riot said last season they changed it). I would just plan on being silver so you're not disappointed, you usually lose at least a couple divisions even if you do well in placements. The only chance at all would be ten wins, but keep in mind: if you got there once you can get there again. It will be easier the second time because you KNOW you can do it. Just don't forget the things you learned while climbing!

If you were only in G5, then your MMR has probably been adjusted down to something like... S2? So I would guess something like 7 or 8 wins to get back into Gold. Keep in mind that most brand-new Ranked players need 9 or 10.
IF you cant stay gold after your placcent you cant stay gold because the guys whos are Bronze,Silver,Gold,Plat,Dimond they cant play!!!! They dont know how to PLAY* go ADC on bot lane with LUCIAN,TWICH,SIVIR they are the AD champions whos can carry the games
