Banned for MMR boosting, recieved a copy paste message explaining nothing.

EDIT: Also my ban time doesnt match the email i recieved. Client says banned till Oct 8th while email says two weeks at which the time of the ban means oct 12th would be two weeks.

Before you call me another person who got caught please read everything and also even OP.GG me if you wish and i BEG you to and find something that shows i was boosted.

So yeah last night after i got done playing league with some buddys i went afk for a bit playing some civilization to come back and see i was banned. I check my email to see a copy paste message from riot that i was banned for MMR boosting? This ban came out of no where. Season 3 i got gold (i didnt play ranked season 2 but i did play during season 2) season 4 i hit plat but decayed to somewhere in gold as i took an extended break from league, and this season i hit plat again. Now i dont play ranked besides the monthly game after i get gold (or higher) due to knowing i wont reach diamond as i have no faith in my self lol. but anyway looking at my previous ranks you would see that i improved very little or not at all and that is nothing out of the ordinary.

Now im not sure if riot recently changed something about their detection system but i think they are falsly banning people like crazy right now after all the posts i have seen so far. I have done nothing out of the ordinary besides doing placements maybe a few more games then a monthly game. I will admit i have let people on my account about 3 times in playing league as i was letting them try the game out as they never played before and wanted to see if they should make an account and start playing. But thats not boosting at all if anything its very minor account sharing (and btw i had them play a BOT GAME not a pvp).

I mean you can OP.GG me and see that in my normal games i vs plats/diamonds when i solo ( i play a lot with friends so it might be a little hard to find a handfull of solo games) but my normal MMR if not higher is atleast the same as my ranked which wouldnt be possible if i was boosted. So all i have to say is be carefull and if not stop playing for a bit as riots detection system seems to be going a little crazy and banning everybody.

It's called the instant feedback system. Perhaps their system saw a sudden change in your MMR and probably thought something was up. I'm not sure if there's anyone you could contact on this, but...

You are gonna have to submit a support ticket. No one here can help you with this.

With the thing your friends being years ago I doubt that has anything to do with it.

There have been quite a few posts like this recently so it is possible there is some problem with detection but even if they applied a flawless update to the system, more people being caught is gonna lead to more people claiming they were falsely punished but that isn't necessarily the case.

Well Riot recently amped up their detection for things like that and my guess is you got flagged by the system for the win/loss streaks that I see in your ranked games.

It shows that you won like 10 straight games, lost the next 5, then went back and forth winning and losing. I assume that's what triggered the thing. You did just admit to account sharing which in itself is a bannable offense, so there's that as well, it may be coded under the same thing.

You just stated that you let people on your account. That is against the rules and more than likely is the reason why they detected an MMR boost because other people from different locations is playing on your account. It's just generally in the "MMR boosting" section since majority of the time having a person on your account other than yourself is a result in them boosting you!

One thing almost every one of these "I got banned for MMR boosting and I've never done it." You all have shared your account. Breaking one set of rules anyways. A bannable offense. Now whether they count any games played while account sharing as MMR boosting or not. I personally don't know. but if you admit you've shared accounts you have no right to complain about getting banned. No matter what they call the ban.

You know what? I was diamond last season and diamond this season. I recently got banned for "boosting". The catch? I played on a shitload of different proxies this season before the chicago move due to the HORRIBLE packet loss via Time Warner late at night. I think I tried close to 10-12 free ones before deciding on setting my own up on an Amazon hosted server I pay for.

I actually played worse this season yet I got suspended. Riot claims they investigate yet everyone getting banned at the same time leads me to believe this is some bot that collects information on multiple IP and bans. Riot is too arrogant and thick headed to admit it and their stance stands.

Funny thing is, within 2 days I already have my other account up to plat 3. Sadly I invested all my money into skins/champs on this one.

So I encourage anyone that is eliminated from ranked rewards to have a blast in ranked; I plan on trying all new champs in ranked now. If I have nothing to play for I might as well "have fun". I'm gonna see if I can win playing a support as an ADC with one hand. When my team cries; i'll direct them back to this thread.
