Help!

My fish is stupid and keeps trying to commit suicide by jumping out of his tank. Can't find a cover with the filter. What to do? Anyone had this experience? My poor little goldfish gets fed plenty and has cool things to play with in his tank, I am not sure why he would want to do this. Has happened 3 times and I am afraid he will break something by the fall.
